National Pharmaceutical Association Foundation Celebrates 26 Years of Scholarship, Service, and Impact
BETHESDA, Md. — August 2026 — The National Pharmaceutical Association Foundation (NPhAF) proudly celebrates 26 years of scholarship, service, and impact in support of the next generation of pharmacy professionals. The Foundation marked this milestone during the 2026 Annual Conference of the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA), held July 31–August 3 in Bethesda, Maryland.
For more than two decades, the NPhAF has worked to advance the mission of the National Pharmaceutical Association by investing in students, supporting professional development, and strengthening the pipeline of talented and service-minded pharmacists who are committed to improving the health of communities across the nation.
Investing in the Future of Pharmacy
As part of this year’s Annual Conference, the NPhAF awarded travel award funding to students representing 51 schools of pharmacy across the country. These awards help reduce financial barriers to conference participation and provide students with opportunities to engage with pharmacy leaders, build professional networks, expand their knowledge, and experience the power of a national professional community.
The Foundation also awarded scholarships from its scholarship endowment to 29 student members of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) from across the country. These scholarships represent the Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting students as they pursue their education, professional goals, and commitment to service.

A Legacy of Service and Opportunity
Founded in 2000, the National Pharmaceutical Association Foundation was established to support the educational and professional advancement of students and pharmacists and to further the mission and vision of the National Pharmaceutical Association.
The National Pharmaceutical Association, founded in 1947, has a longstanding history of advocating for the health and well-being of underserved communities and advancing the interests of pharmacists and pharmacy students. Throughout its history, NPhA has provided a platform for professional development, leadership, advocacy, mentorship, and service, with a particular commitment to addressing health disparities and promoting excellence in pharmacy practice.
The NPhAF extends this legacy by creating opportunities that help students and emerging professionals succeed. Through scholarships, travel awards, educational initiatives, and philanthropic support, the Foundation helps ensure that financial barriers do not prevent promising students from accessing professional opportunities and developing into future leaders in pharmacy.
Continuing the Legacy
The 2026 scholarship and travel awards underscore the importance of sustained investment in pharmacy students and the future of the profession. By supporting students from schools of pharmacy across the country and recognizing members of SNPhA for their academic achievement and commitment to service, the NPhAF continues to build upon a 26-year legacy of creating pathways to success.
The Foundation invites alumni, pharmacists, industry partners, organizations, and friends of the profession to join in supporting its continued work. Contributions to the NPhAF help expand scholarship opportunities, support student participation in professional conferences, and strengthen programs that prepare the next generation of pharmacy leaders.
